The Osu Children’s home is located in Osu, Accra and houses an orphanage, pre-school and kindergarten as well as a medical clinic. Volunteers from a broad range of professional backgrounds are welcome here. Volunteers are needed as teachers, child activity counselors, assistants in the enfant ward, as well as health care workers and doctors.

Depending on their placement, volunteers can expect to organize or participate in a variety of duties that range from teaching in the classroom, storybook reading, playing sports, making crafts, or counseling women and children about health education, hygiene and administering basic first-aid.

Volunteers who are interested in administrative positions are also welcome. Their primary duties would revolve around the regulation of children’s day and night schedules.

Accommodations:
Housing accommodations are offered within the vicinity of the children’s home and are equipped with running water and electricity. Access to restaurants and other facilities including internet cafés can also be located with relative ease on nearby Oxford Street.
