OCA is also aiming to develop a program specifically focused on street children. The program will provide these children with shelter and food as well as skills for maintaining trades. Currently, the organization was able to begin a small scale outreach program which succeeded in providing clothing and meals to street children as well as medical treatment.

Assisting Mothers Project: OCA also seeks to provide prenatal care and education to young mothers living in rural and urban areas. Currently, the organization is sponsoring a young woman living in Accra who lost her vision during the course of her pregnancy. Her husband abandoned her soon after and OCA has been providing her with funds and a network with which to ensure medical check-ups and support so that she may be able to raise her child and cope with visual impairment.

Peace and Empowerment Beads: The Peace and Empowerment Beads Project was created with the objective of enabling teenage girls living at the Osu Children’s home to acquire vocational training and earn their own money by making bead bracelets. Our Children Africa sells the bracelets through this website and sends all proceeds back to support the girls and the program.
