Our Children Africa is involved with a number of community projects in Southern and Eastern Ghana and also offers volunteer opportunities for Canadians to get involved with the organization. Volunteers provide the much needed support and expertise these projects require and provide us with the financial backing we need to sustain and continue these initiatives.

In exchange we offer our volunteers the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of people who need it. The experience promises to be life-changing and memorable.

Many volunteers also bring various supplies from their home countries in order to donate them at the institution they are working with.  This is optional, but if you would like to bring donations, a list of supplies most needed at each placement has also been provided on our website.  Also, volunteers may wish to consider purchasing their donations within Ghana as many items, medications in particular, are significantly less expensive here and would therefore enable you to make a larger donation and also reduce travel weight.

Duration of Program and Cost:

Volunteers are welcome to participate in our program for as little as a week to as long as suits their schedule. The pricelist below outlines the cost of the program is determined by the length of your stay with us and is inclusive of a non-refundable deposit fee.  The deposit fee is used to cover administrative and staff costs while the remainder amount goes to cover the cost of your food and accommodation, as well as to support community improvement projects within the community you are working in.

*price includes cost for room, board and transportation to and from placement as well as administration fee and community support fund.

Price does not include airfare to Ghana or any type of travelers insurance.
